This is my entry for the Clyde Slide contest by Great Cakes Soapworks. I was trying to showcase the colors in my fall perennial garden-black eyed susans, phlox, echinachea, and all the green stems. This was my first attempt and I tried two more thinking the brown was too dark, but this is the one I entered. .

After 2 1/2 weeks, I am back at my attempts to establish and keep up with an exercise routine. Wednesday I did my 2.5 mile route and still was able to run the first mile without stopping. The homeward stretch is another story. I figure if I keep lengthening my beginning time/mileage, after a while I will be running the whole thing! Today I did a 3 mile route, it was rough, I've tweaked my lower back somehow and it is protesting. Still, managed to run about half the route. The pup LOVES to go out with me so she's very happy we're back at it.
There are two 3K runs coming up locally, anyone want to run?

-8 degrees tonight and I'm very thankful for wool socks, a grain/pellet boiler and hot water. Finished two more quilt tops this week! Add these to the two I have had waiting for years-yes YEARS to be quilted and I now have a collection. Need to get these off to one of the local machine quilters and get them finished! Now to work on a winter wall hanging for me and a couple of graduation gifts.

Another Finish!

I finished this Turning Twenty quilt for Dad for Christmas. It's quilted in an allover leaf design by Kathy Michaud. I had to bring it home to finish the binding and he got it back yesterday after our big blizzard.

Christmas is coming!

I am working on four table runners for Christmas. The first is done and delivered. I have misplaced the center square fabric for the last two-uh oh I'm in trouble.

I found this great little quilt on another blog: www.juliekquilts.blogspot.com Plaids are some of my favorite fabrics, now I'll have to take a look at my fabric stash to see just how many I already have.
